LIP FILLER AFTERCARE
For the first 48 hours following the treatment you should avoid:
-
strenuous exercise
-
being in direct sunlight or use of a sunbed
-
consumption of alcoholic beverages
-
touching the area
-
application of lipstick
-
unhygienic practices
-
spicy food
-
jacuzzi/sauna
-
swimming pool
-
smoking
-
kissing
You may apply a natural lip balm, aloe vera gel or coconut oil on the day of your treatment, if you feel the area needs some soothing. A vaseline based lip balm is also suitable as well as a cool compress. Avoid excessive cold or heat. Arnica can be used throughout to minimise any bruising
After 48 hours you may wear makeup and lipstick if the area is healing well and shows no signs of trauma
After 72 hours you may apply a warm compress for ten minutes followed by a lip massage, which will be shown to you in person or via a video clip. Avoid excessive heat.
The most important thing to prolong the life of your fillers is to stay very well hydrated- this can not be heavily stressed enough!
